Fixed dentures (crowns and bridges) can be put on to teeth or also on to dental implants. Their task is to replace one or more missing teeth, or replace part of a tooth that has been damaged by injury or decay. The fixed prosthetics then acts as an “outer shell” and provides the functionality of your weakened or damaged tooth. The type of dental treatment used is always based on the current state of the oral cavity. From our experience, however, we can say that the production of fixed prosthetics usually requires different types of dental procedures, and therefore treatment is usually not only longer, but it is also a little more expensive.
We fix broken teeth with crowns, we use bridges to replace lost teeth.
Contact the Zolárek Dental centre and we will look after your teeth.
We use a variety of different materials for the production of fixed prosthetics and their selection depends on each specific situation and on the needs of the patient for functionality, aesthetics and their financial possibilities. Today’s modern materials, however, are able to mimic tooth enamel very well and fixed prosthetics is a nearly perfect substitute for natural teeth which meets a patient’s functional and aesthetic expectations. Fixed dentures will last with good care generally longer than 10 years. Plaque and food debris tend to accumulate around the necks of crowns and below bridges and therefore good dental hygiene is absolutely necessary. After fitting we will explain to you how to properly care for your new crown or bridge.
